INSTALLATION INSTALLATION Once Upon A Forest represents the largest creative expression of the OBMI brand regionally. A celebration of the UAE’s crucial Mangrove ecosystem and an homage to the country’s many initiatives that exist to support their protection.
ONCE UPON A FOREST DOWNTOWN DUBAI DISTRICT OBMI’s “Once Upon a Forest” takes center stage at Dubai Design Week located between Buildings 4, 5, 6 & 7. The thoughtful structure offers multiple access points through a series of pavilions. LOCATION MATERIALS Sustainable materials and construction methods were employed to realize 100% of the installation. Jute Mesh 30 KM 2,700 m Bamboo 350 sqm Jute Rope The protective cover made of net mesh and bamboo bracing simulates the function and form of the mangrove canopy. Along with an integrated audio-visual, the immersive experience transcends visitors into a veritable oasis in the heart of Dubai’s built environment.
