OBMI Design Manager Drew Gilbert and Senior Lead Designer Islam El Mashtooly represented the firm as panelists and moderators at The INDEX Design Talks in Dubai from May 23rd to the 24th.

In association with GEBERIT, INDEX Design Talks has become a staple conference in recent INDEX editions. The event brings together the most inspiring industry leaders to share their insights and expertise about opportune topics such as urban design, exploring the metaverse, trends, sustainability, and storytelling in design.

Drew’s panels, “Cultivating Timeliness Designs in the Metaverse” and “Integrating Design and Innovation with NFTs and the Metaverse,” explore the intersection of the physical and digital worlds and how they relate to the future of architecture.

Islam discussed the evolution and need for architecture in his panel “The Future is Bright Beyond Technology, AI and Architecture.”
