A Moveable Hotel

OBMI NU designed a moveable hotel room, specially created for remote locations. Habitāre’s two models—slim and wide—are ultra-lightweight, sustainably crafted, and easily installed to be light on the land. This revolutionary product was conceptualized to be assembled in 25% of the typical construction time frame at less than 1/3 of the cost. The moveable nature of this offering qualifies rooms to be built without permits, granting access to unique and remote landscapes for a truly extraordinary experience.

AERA
Inventing an Urban Vertical Resort
OBMI seeks to reframe the landscape of luxury travel by designing a new, distinct offering vertically integrated into a city’s urban center. Aera Vertical Resort, Grand Prize Winner of the 2022 Radical Innovation Awards, provides guests with a completely unique hospitality experience by redefining hospitality and infusing the cultural richness of urban travel with the restorative serenity of a beach vacation. By redefining hospitality, NU endeavors to expand our understanding of resort experiences by featuring extensive amenities that attract local and international travelers to some of the world’s largest cities.

HOTEL OF TOMORROW
A Transformable Hotel Room
OBMI’s team of talented designers joined other industry leaders and innovators in the Hotel of Tomorrow Project (HOT Project), a think tank seeking to examine the future of hotels. Our design experts led the conceptualization of the Transformable Hotel Room, an immersive and interactive room prototype and revolutionary futuristic design that reconfigures and resets technologies and furniture to suit the guest’s exact lifestyle needs.
