Robotic Reset

A changeable guestroom that integrates automated, retractable and revealable furnishings, as well as robot-delivered elements to suit changing guest needs. Smart furnishings incorporated in walls, floors and ceilings allows guest to exercise, dine, rest and work in the same room. Beds rise into the ceiling providing room for exercise equipment delivered by a robot, and lounge seating emerges from the floor to accommodate socializing. The result: more efficient use of space and a dynamic living environment aided by automation.

The Framework of Transformation

The five distinctive environments within OBMI’s transformable hotel room concepts include: Live, Dine, Move, Rest, and Work. Each environment was selected based on an understanding of guest profiles for urban and destination resort hotels and the various activities one may engage while within the comfort of their room. All designs elevate wellness by balancing between space and organic forms. Reset the mood and discover concealed elements within the room design as everything rises from the floor below or folds down from the wall. For further customization, guests are welcomed to explore and rotate the 360 Degree projections on all the walls, including the window wall, which offers captivating scenery from any location or imagined environment a guest could dream up through all encompassing digital landscapes.
