OBMI Architect Takes Home Prestigious Industry Awards

OBMI Architect Honored with Prestigious Industry Recognition

Islam Mashtooly, Senior Lead Designer in OBMI’s Dubai office, was regarded at the highly prestigious World Architecture Festival Awards. 

World Architecture Festival is the world’s largest international architectural event. Over 2,000 members of the world’s architecture community meet to share expertise and learn from each other. With over 550 finalists, the awards program is dedicated to celebrating excellence via live presentations to delegates and international juries and is a highly regarded award in the industry.

Islam’s project, “JANNAT MASJID,” won the “Future Projects” category. The Hilltop House of God in the Garden of the Flowering Fruit Trees is a place of peace that exudes unity, encompassing inclusion & diversity. Open for both worshippers and other community members, sharing a space for congregation, discussion, discourse, and social activity.

Before his recognition at the WAF, Islam was also elected “Highly Commended” in the “Architect of the Year” category at Design Middle East’s Awards.
