Al Hamra Palace

A Revival of Heritage & Hospitality

Nestled along Jeddah’s captivating corniche, Al Hamra Palace is a testament to Boutique Group’s vision of blending Saudi Arabia’s rich culture and heritage with contemporary elegance, transforming historic palaces into ultra-luxury boutique hotels. OBMI leads the architectural design, and the palace’s interiors are a collaborative effort between French interior designer Jacques Garcia and the OBMI team.

Throughout its history, Al Hamra Palace was the most prominent hospitality structure where international public figures and VIP guests were hosted when traveling to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Understanding the significance of the existing structure from the beginning, the OBMI team used their expertise in renovating historic palaces into storied hospitality destinations to reposition the palace once again to deliver the royal guest journey of its past.

The design of Al Hamra Palace celebrates Saudi Arabia’s traditional architectural style, seamlessly blending Islamic Hijazi, Neo-classical, and Andalusian-style influences with modern elements and technologies.

These traditional inspirations are apparent in the palace’s arched gateways, slanted roofs, and facade crafted from Riyadh stone. This unique blend of design styles pays homage to the country’s rich heritage and elevates the hospitality experience, offering guests a unique destination that reflects the land’s richness and culture.

Beautiful gardens and landscapes tie the hotel together as guests journey through the sprawling destination, creating an otherworldly adventure. Surrounding the palace, the luxury villas are a respectful scale to ensure the original structure remains the regent piece. To elevate the experience further, guests can access Saudi fine dining, Michelin-star restaurants, and wellness facilities on-site.

Al Hamra Palace showcases the success of Boutique Group and OBMI’s partnership that eternalizes heritage and history by creating storied places that combine past and present in all their rich, glorious detail. To learn more about OBMI’s bespoke designs, contact us today!

Upon arriving at Al Hamra Palace, guests are welcomed by a remarkable porte-cochere designed as a striking visual focus. It provides a cultural showcase for the country’s finest craftsmanship, with beautiful proportions and intricate detail—the first introduction to the palatial elegance and gracious Saudi hospitality that await them.
