Tim Peck has spent more than four decades shaping OBMI’s design philosophy and global presence in luxury hospitality and residential architecture.
Over the course of his career, he has designed hundreds of homes, hotels, and resorts in some of the world’s most remarkable landscapes. For Tim, architecture is ultimately about connection. It is about creating places that bring people together and transform how they experience the world around them. This belief continues to guide his work and inspire OBMI’s collaborative studio culture.
Tim began his architectural career in London in the 1970s, working on the iconic Barbican Arts Centre. After joining Chamberlin, Powell and Bon as a project architect, he set off on what he imagined would be a one year adventure with OBMI in the British Virgin Islands, a place he had never visited. That journey became a lifelong commitment to the firm. Today, Tim continues to guide OBMI’s international studios while leading the Island Living practice.
A native of England, Tim is a LEED Accredited Professional and a registered architect in the United Kingdom. He is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC), among other professional organizations, and was a founding member of the British Virgin Islands Society of Architects and Engineers.
“There is an immense satisfaction in designing this three-dimensional object that becomes part of the fabric of people’s lives.”
When he is not traveling with clients or visiting project sites around the world, Tim enjoys swimming, sailing, running, cycling, and skiing. He often says that architecture is both his profession and his favorite pastime. He is happiest sitting at his kitchen table, sketching ideas for beautiful places.
