Place

Place: Grace Bay

Grace Bay runs along the northern edge of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands, a stretch of white sand and shallow turquoise water that has drawn travellers to the archipelago for decades. St. Regis, Turks & Caicos, The Residences occupy nearly seven hectares of it, with more than 180 metres of ocean frontage and three towers set directly above the beach, in a chain of some forty islands and cays.

Approach

Approach: Never out of character

OBMI shaped the property as a response to the St. Regis brand. A branded residence asks a single identity to hold across two ways of living in a place, the owner who settles in and the guest who passes through, and OBMI's interiors answer that by carrying one continuous sensibility from a residence to a guestroom, so the property never breaks character as owners and guests move through it.

“We approach the properties differently, emphasising the entire guest experience. Customers are intent on getting the whole experience of the location, so we want them to be constantly immersed in the brand.”

Syrine Ouerghi · Business Development Director, OBMI

Experience

Experience: The turquoise carried indoors

The interiors take their cues from the water and sand outside. Bleached timbers and coral-toned textures warm the rooms, while brushed metallic detailing and layered textiles carry the St. Regis sense of glamour without disturbing the calm. Contemporary finishes and clean lines keep the spaces recognisably branded, and a residential softness makes them somewhere to settle. Windows are drawn wide to the ocean, so the turquoise of Grace Bay carries indoors and the move from beach to living space feels continuous.

Programme

Programme: Ninety minutes from Miami

The residences come in one, two and three-bedroom configurations, each finished to the standard of the resort around them. The wider programme holds four swimming pools, tennis, an oceanfront wellness complex with spa and fitness, a casino, a children's club, a St. Regis Beach Club with private access to Grace Bay, and three dining venues, the whole of it ninety minutes by air from Miami and within walking distance of the shops and restaurants of Grace Bay.
